Timesheets and MYOB Integration

Staley & Associates, an electrical engineering and consultancy business based in Ballarat who provide automation solutions to the mining, automotive, food & beverage, agriculture and water sectors. They use their own Job Management system to manage their work. This is based on a SQL server database with an MS Access front end.

They comissioned Cadro to add a timesheet form to this system and an interface so that timeslips were automatically extracted and posted into MYOB.

The interface program extracts the timesheet data from the Jobs database and transfers it into MYOB. It takes the form of a Windows Service which can be set up to monitor the Jobs Database and post timeslips to MYOB whenever they are submitted. This means that all staff can input timesheets directly without needing access to MYOB and the timeslips are transferred to MYOB immediately.

There is also windows program whichis primarily used for testing and diagnostic purposes. It provides a way of viewing messages. It can also initiate an ad hoc transfer of data in case service is not running.
