Simple estimating and job sheet in Excel

Aquaseeding use an Excel workbook which has sheets for estimating and presenting the resulting quote and a job record sheet.

We turned this into a template with automated links to a customer database in MS Access.

Materials and costs are selected via drop-down lists.

The quote can be faxed or emailed as a PDF attachment without giving away raw cost data and the details are automatically in the Job Sheet so the facts are on hand when the job proceeds.

We added a custom toolbar to provide extra functionality.

For example the first button pops up a little box in which the user can select a customer from the database.

Another button saves newly entered customer details into the MS Access database.
